Eletropintura
The Electrocoating system was developed by the automobile industry to protect car steel against the corrosion. It substitutes the conventional phosphate system that was used (zinc phosphate) by the tricathionic phosphate (zinc, nickel and manganese). Tricathionic phosphatization has been developed especially to prepare the metallic surface to receive the Electrocoating.

Our company was the first in South America to use Electrocoating System to protect steel windows and doors. Ullian named this System Eletropintura.

Eletropintura is an immersion painting process in which the products receive 11 different baths. Once the coating is applied to the windows and doors, they then undergo a curing process.

The Tricathionic Phosphatization has the purpose of preparing the metallic steel windows and doors to receive the Eletropintura treatment. In Eletropintura charged paint particles are attracted to an oppositely charged metallic surface. As the paint is deposited, it forms a finish that begins to insulate the metal from the surrounding charged solution. Deposition continues until the coating thickness is enough to form a barrier against the corrosion.

When the product is immerged in the paint tank, it is connected to the negative electric pole and the positive one is connected to the electrodes that are in the tank. Then, the paint particles are attracted to windows and doors surface, and form a uniform protection barrier against oxidation.

ADVANTAGES TO THE CUSTOMER

COST

Installation and finishing costs are reduced because of the Eletropintura Treatment, as the customer neither needs to sand the windows and doors nor to apply any other protection bottom. In fact, Eletropintura cannot be sand because it could damage the protection barrier formed by the treatment. Windows and doors comes from store ready to receive the finishing.

BETTER VISUAL ASPECT
Eletropintura offers a uniform, controlled coating thickness; so the product is ready to receive the finishing and totally protected. Furthermore, this procedure provides an excellent coverage on corners and edges or difficult to reach areas.

MORE DURABILITY (USEFUL LIFE)
Tricathionic Phosphatization and Electrocoating combination offers to the products a good barrier against corrosion, and more durability than the conventional treatments, that is, the conventional phosphate and immersion primer baths.

Laboratory tests have proven that windows and doors that received Eletropintura Treatment have more durability and resistance against corrosion than products that received conventional treatments. Eletropintura provides a high quality coating with the best corrosion protection.

ELETROPINTURA IS ECOLOGICALLY CORRECT
Eletropintura does not cause damages to the environment because paint is practically solvent and lead free. The process use water as base. Then, it is a process that offers higher protection, better finish, and more durability than the conventional ones and does not cause pollution.
